eBay
registration
tips
Step 1
eBay asks you for basic contact information.
If you use an email from Hotmail, Yahoo, etc., you will be asked to
provide a valid credit card. This is to verify your identity, and
protect eBay members against fraud. Your information will be kept
private on eBay's secure servers.
If you want to avoid this use ISP, company, or school email address.
Step 2
Create your eBay UserID.
We suggest you don't use your full name or email address as your
UserID.
With over 235 million eBay registered users, the chances of somebody
else using the username you're thinking of are quite high. If you're
interested in selling on eBay as well try to pick a name that will
reflect on your intended eBay business, such as HiFiDave88. UserID
becomes a part of your "My eBay" mini site's URL and you won't be able
to change it for at least 30 days.
Step 3
Confirm your registration.
eBay will send you an email confirmation message (in a few seconds) to
make sure that you correctly entered your email address in Step 1.
Simply follow the instructions within the message to confirm your
registration. All you have to do is click on the link that says
"Complete eBay Registration".
IMPORTANT:
Your registration is not considered active until you buy at
least one item!
